MOVIL'APP

Who is it for?

Young people's mobility in Europe is not just for university students. Apprentices are entitled to it too. This is the aim of MOVIL'APP (Movil'app European Mobility and Apprenticeship), an initiative designed to support the European mobility of apprentices (levels 3 and 4), post-apprentices (all levels) and vocational training teachers/trainers and tutors.

Young people, whether apprentices (levels 3 and 4) or recent graduates at all levels (leaving within a year of completing their apprenticeship training), gain new know-how (other techniques and ways of doing business) and interpersonal skills (self-confidence, autonomy, adaptability in particular) through this European experience in a company, in addition to the linguistic and civic benefits, to enrich their CVs and boost their early careers in an increasingly globalized economy.

Working conditions :

The employment contract is either a limited-term contract or an open-ended contract.

In the case of open-ended contracts, the contract begins with an apprenticeship period equivalent to the duration of the training course, without affecting the special protection enjoyed by apprentices during their theoretical and practical training.

At the end of the apprenticeship period, the contractual relationship between employer and employee is governed by the provisions of the French Employment Code relating to permanent contracts under ordinary law, with the exception of the trial period.

Where the contract is of limited duration, it will run for the duration of the training cycle leading to the diploma or qualification concerned.

The duration varies according to the course chosen:

In principle, two years for the apprenticeship period; in certain exceptional cases, this period may be shorter (6 months) or longer (3 years), or even 4 years for disabled workers.

The apprentice is an employee of the host company. This means they are subject to the same rules as the company's other employees (laws, regulations, collective agreements, etc.). If the apprentice is a minor, the specific provisions for young workers apply.

The apprentice's working hours are identical to those of other employees. The employer must allow the apprentice to attend theoretical vocational courses. This time is included in actual working hours and is paid as such.

Remuneration:

* As a percentage of the minimum wage
