THE EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS

This mobility program allows your organization to obtain funding and welcome volunteers to set up projects in areas that benefit communities and society such as:

•  Citizenship and education

•  Combating poverty and social exclusion;

•  The environment and ecology

•  Humanitarian assistance to migrants and vulnerable populations

Duration:

From 2 to 12 months

 

FGYO

Programme: Franco-German Volunteering

The Franco-German Volunteering allows your organization to welcome young people from France and Germany between 18 and 25 years old to carry out citizen engagement actions

There are several types of volunteering:

•  Volunteering in the social field

•  Volunteering in the ecological field

•  Volunteering in the field of sport

•  Volunteering in the cultural field

Duration:

From 10 to 12 months

 

Erasmus+ (Youth and sport)

Eligible organisations may be: a non-profit organisation, association or NGO; a European youth NGO, a public body at local, regional or national level, a social enterprise, a for-profit organisation active in the field of corporate social responsibility.














Informal youth groups can also apply for funding of their projects through a mobility activity under the Erasmus+ Youth programme. An informal group of young people is formed as a group of at least four young people aged 13 to 30. One of the group members who is at least 18 years old acts as a representative and assumes responsibility on behalf of the entire group.

Different mobility devices:

•  youth exchanges (13-30 years): to promote meetings between groups of European young people on various themes 
•  mobility of youth actors: to develop cooperation between youth professionals (seminars, training courses, study visits...) 
•  youth participation (13-30 years): to support activities for the participation of young people in democratic life at local, regional, national and European levels
•  strategic partnerships: to share experiences and innovative practices between structures in different countries 

Actions to be implemented:

Key action 1 “Mobility” aims to encourage the mobility of young people and youth sector actors (volunteers or professionals). They have the opportunity to develop personal and professional skills by participating in activities that take place at a European, international or national level and outside of formal education. Organisations may send or receive participants to or from countries participating in the programme. 

Key action 2 “Partnerships” aims to develop partnership projects for cooperation that will enable public or private bodies to implement activities at local, regional and national levels, such as: the development of European networks or the exchange of good practices between organisations.

 

The Sport opportunities will allow to develop and implement joint actions aimed at promoting sport and physical activity, to identify and implement innovative actions in the field of sport, as well as managing non-profit events to increase participation in sport.

These organisations must be established in a Member State of the European Union or a third country associated with the programme, or in a neighbouring third country of the EU not associated with the programme.

 

The project duration is 3 to 24 months. At least two participating organizations (at least one sending organization and at least one host organization) from different countries must be involved in the project.

The European Solidarity Corps

Your organisation may apply for funding from the European Solidarity Corps to carry out projects for communities and society as a whole. We work with a wide range of organizations, including:

•  encourage democratic participation​

•  combating social exclusion​

•  protect nature​

•  promote health and wellness​

•  encourage education and training​

•  working with migrant communities​

•  building the capacity and resilience of vulnerable or disaster-affected communities in regions of non-EU countries where humanitarian assistance activities and operations are taking place​

•  strengthen disaster preparedness and risk reduction in these regions

​​

Organisations hosting volunteers are labelled by the European Commission.

These may include:​

•  Associations​

•  Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)​

•  Local authorities​

•  Non-profit-making public institutions or bodies​

•  Companies

If your project is approved, you will have access to a network of motivated volunteers aged 18-30 (35 for volunteering in the field of humanitarian aid), on the portal of the European Solidarity Corps. Your organization will be able to post announcements or search and contact potential participants.

Funding the European Solidarity Corps has several benefits for your organization. It can:​

Franco-German Youth Office


The Franco-German volunteering enables your organization to welcome young people from France and Germany between the ages of 18 and 25, to go abroad to carry out actions of civic commitment. During the 10 to 12 months of voluntary service, young people also have the opportunity to take part in 4 training seminars.

 

There are several types of volunteering:

•  Social volunteering

•  Ecological volunteering

•  Sports volunteering

•  Cultural volunteering

Does your organization fall into one of these categories? Don't hesitate to entrust missions to committed young people from Germany, motivated by a stay in France!

The young people from Germany you welcome as part of the VFA have a minimum level of French A1 or A2, and can come from any field of study. Beginners are sometimes accepted.
 

Hosting conditions :

You must designate one or two people who will be responsible for supervising the person during his or her voluntary work within your structure, and accompanying him or her in the missions entrusted to him or her. The OFAJ supports associations by facilitating cooperation, in particular by helping to find a partner structure in Germany.

With this program, you offer volunteers the opportunity to enjoy a particularly enriching experience on a personal, professional, intercultural and linguistic level.​

 

As part of the VFA, the OFAJ supports your school with :​

•  Full payment of intercultural and pedagogical support seminars;​

•  Reimbursement of travel expenses up to a maximum of 260 euros for the return trip to the seminars.​​

 

The host organization must offer the young person a minimum of €114.85 per month in financial and/or in-kind support (accommodation, meals, transportation, etc.).
